My mother, Leonie Steenkamp is for me the best Mom on earth.
She created special moments if us as children…baking pancakes, making biscuits and having weekend movie marathons.
Her inner strengths us admirable, and she continues to give of herself to others. As a city girl, she embraced farm life and excelled in making her own homemade butter, baking rusks, making delicious jams, and raising chickens.
Her wit and sense of humour carried us during tuff times, she never gives up and always gives a pillar of strength to those in need.
She dedicates her life to her family, even now taking time to be there for her grandchildren.
A few years ago we almost lost her due to a heart attack and we are fortunate we still have her in our lives.
She never judged us as children, no matter how much we messed up, she continues to always motivate us. If we fall, her motto is: get up and try again
